This event will take place at YOUR chosen venue. Mahj Garage will bring everything needed to play the game of American mahjong (tiles, mats, racks, pushers, cards, lighting, and curriculum). You, the host, will provide tables, chairs, and refreshments.

Please note:

The cost is $40 a person. We currently accommodate parties of 4-16 guests for private events. If you add to your guest list, please notify Mahj Garage, and we will send you an invoice for the additional player(s).

There are no refunds if you cancel within five days of your scheduled event.  You may, however, reschedule for a future class or party credit, subject to price increases and availability. Full refunds are permitted if the event is canceled outside the five-day window.

If you would like to host a class outside of the times offered by Mahj Garage, there is an additional cost of $20. We will send you a separate invoice for this charge.

Mahjong102: Learning - 

Feel ready to level up after Mahjong 101? If so, then this class is for you. In this 2-hour class, you will:

• Review the National Mahjong League’s rules

• Build confidence in selecting and building your hand through guided Charleston practice

• Begin to learn how to play strategically 

• Play American mahjong with a supportive coach to answer your questions

This event will take place at YOUR chosen venue. Mahj Garage will bring everything needed to play the game of American mahjong (tiles, mats, racks, pushers, cards, lighting, and curriculum). You, the host, will provide tables, chairs, and refreshments.

Guided Play is for mahjong players who are ready to play mahjong with other experienced players but still would like support and the ability to ask questions about rules, gameplay, and strategy. Coaching is limited during this session. If you are inexperienced, please respect others and attend a beginner-level course instead. During this 2-hour event, you will:

• Ask questions and receive answers during gameplay

• Build confidence as you play American mahjong
